Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1978 and has over 48 years of proven, IRS-recognized use.

A Section 125 (Cafeteria Plan) allows employees to elect certain qualified benefits on a pre-tax basis, reducing taxable wages while maintaining the same level of coverage.
